National League of American Pen Women

In 2005, I was honored as an Achiever in Letters at the Celebrity Luncheon held by the Santa Clara County Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. It was an impressive ceremony, and I enjoyed meeting all the members and seeing how talented they were. My good friend, Jeanne Carbone, suggested I join, and I have been a member ever since.

We have strong leaders, and I really like the other women in the group. Not only are they fun to be around, but they support my writing and have encouraged me to try new endeavors, like photography. We meet once a month to discuss our fundraising and see an inspiring presentation by one of our members. 

Once a year we have a large luncheon honoring women in the arts and we fundraise to provide scholarships. The luncheons are entertaining and informative, and I encourage everyone to attend.
